Pregnant woman threatened by Leicester car thieves

A six month old pregnant woman who stopped her car to post a letter got threatened by a young man, age 27 to 33 years, who blocked the road with a Mercedes. Another young man, 18 to 23 years, who came out of the Mercedes stole her Ford. The pregnant woman was unharmed but suffered from a shock. The shock could have affected her and her unborn child. The police is still looking for her car and for the two young man who have stolen the car from the pregnant woman.

These young man obviously don’t know what they are doing. They must know that the car they have stolen will be found at some point due to the registration number. They can’t go and everywhere with the car that they have stolen from this pregnant woman, so I don’t understand why they would have done this. Besides this, why did they choose to steal the car from this woman who is six months pregnant, what would they have done if something happened to the woman at that moment. They have put the lives of the woman and the baby at risk. They have also put their own lives at risk by stealing a car, the police is looking after them and they will get a punishment when they are caught.

Bus driver accused over death 'thought he hit fox'

Mrs Tan, 20, from Singapore who studies medicine at The Cambridge University has been killed by a bus driver. She was found 825 along the road with fatal injuries, which causes her death. The night of the accident the bus driver, Mr Firouzian, picked up an elderly woman. Mr Firouzian found out he hit Mrs Tan the next day at work, when he was suspended by his employer. He claims that he did not know he killed Mrs Tan. At first he claimed to have hit a bottle, afterwards he says he thought he hit a fox. The prosecutor says he intended to kill Mrs Tan.

I find this a very difficult situation, because we don’t know what really has happened that night. Till now there are no witnesses, so I think this makes it difficult to say that Mr Firouzian has killed Mrs Tan on purpose. I am thinking about whether he is innocent or not, because if they sentence him and he actually is innocent, they have ruined his life also! It is really tragic what has happened to this girl. Nowadays people run over humans, kill them, and act like nothing has happened. I hope that they will investigate this crime until they are 100% sure who the murderer is and put him behind bars.

Man tasered following attack on dog in Bishop Auckland

The Durham police received a call from a woman, who was concerned about a man attacking his dog with a knife. After the police arrived they found the 63 year old man carrying a knife in his hand, along with a dead dog. The police urged him to put down his knife, but the man refused so the man was tasered. No one got injured except for the dog and the man is arrested on suspicion of affray. The 63 year old man is now being medically examined and will be questioned later on.

This man has serious problems, even though I don’t know the reason why he has stabbed his dog, I think a ‘normal’ human being won’t be able to stab a dog till death and also refuse to take orders from police officers. It is very good that this woman called the police, this shows that people in the neighbourhood are looking out for suspicious behaviour. Also, if this women didn’t call the police this man would have never been caught killing his dog, maybe the man would be capable to commit more crimes and killing more animals, or even humans! I’m glad he has been caught and been taken into medical examination.

Man held after 2kg of heroin found in wedding dress

Mohammed Khalil Bhatti, 33, from Pakistan has been in custody after they have found two kilograms of heroin hidden in a wedding dress. Bhatti travelled from Karachi (Pakistan) to Heathrow airport, where they found the wedding dress and heroin in his suitcase. The two kilograms of heroin has a values of 90,000 pounds. Damon Jackman, Heathrow deputy director said that this situation is highly unusual and that they are determined to keep heroin and other illegal stuff out of the country. He also claims that it is a serious offence and those who transport drugs will face a long prison time.

I also think it is highly unusual to hide heroin in a wedding dress. The people who transport illegal stuff are very smart and creative. How else can you think of hiding two kilograms of heroin in a wedding dress! This shows that the people who work at the airport are doing great work, it is good that they found this drug hidden in the wedding dress. This two kilograms of heroin would have made the live of a lot of people a misery. They should keep up the good work and try to stop the transport of illegal stuff coming into the country.

Why men are the grimier sex: Study finds offices with more males have far more bacteria

A study took 450 DNA swabs from 90 offices, which were used by men and women. There were 500 types of bacteria discovered. These bacteria came from the human skin, nose, ear, intestines and also from the environment by shoes or clothing. The men offices contained a lot more bacteria than women offices. The study said that men wash their hands less often as women and that they brush their teeth frequently. Men are also known to have a slovenly nature, they don’t take hygiene as serious as women and sweat more, which attracts bacteria.

A lot of  men never wash their hands after going to the toilet, they don't brush their teeth as often and will wear the same boxer shorts for more than a day. A side of me wants to believe that women are more ‘cleaner’ than men, but I don’t think I really believe that. There are many, many women who don’t take care of their personal hygiene, women who don’t shower for days, who don’t wash their hands not as often, and who also don’t brush their teeth. I believe that the number of ‘clean’ men and women are equal, considering the fact that there are also a lot of men who are hygienic and that there are lots of women who are not hygienic at all.

Hope, Staffordshire Cross Found In Lay By, Described As 'Thinnest' Vet Had Ever Seen Alive (PICTURES)

Ben, who brought Hope to the RSPCA, claims to have the abandoned dog in a box outside. Hope was so skinny that she was unable to walk or eat. The vets had to wrap her in blankets and bubble wraps to keep her warm. Hope weighs just eight kilos, which is half of the weight that is normal for a dog. Hope is the thinnest dog vet Anna had seen in her eight years career at the RSPCA clinic. RSPCA inspector says the dog’s owner was trying to get rid of her by abandoning her as tough she was rubbish. The RSPCA urges everyone who call them if they have information about this dog, so that they can find the one who is responsible for this.

The title of this article attracted me to read the article. I find it very sad to read/hear about animals who are being abused or abandoned. I cannot understand how the owners are able to neglect these animals. Why did they took the responsibility of the animal in first place, when they know they can’t take care of them! I am glad Hope is being take care of and that she is recovering. The people of the RSPCA are doing a great job and I hope that people will inform them about hope and other animals that come to the RSPCA. The owners of these dogs should be penalized for what they are causing these animals.

Cannabis cakes made by Newcastle schoolboy

During the cookery lesson at the All Saints College in Newcastle, a 14 year old boy has made brownies which contained cannabis. The 14 year old boy has shared the brownies with four other boys in his class. The pupils have been taken to the hospital to be checked on and they have been discharged on the same day. The boy who made the cake has been arrested but was bailed out. He has been expelled from school, while the other pupils are suspended.
The school has informed to take incidents like this very seriously.

The first thing that comes to my mind is: why are 14 year old kids taking drugs? How did they manage to attain cannabis at this very young age. Besides this, I am wondering if there was a supervisor at the cookery lesson. Cookery lessons can be dangerous, that is why I expect good supervision, but where was the supervisor during this class? All in all, the school has handled this particular situation really well. In my opinion, expelling the 14 year boy and suspending the other four boys were the right thing to do.
