Tyler Whelan, a five year old boy was punched,
kicked and bitten by his mothers’s partner. The doctors at Peterborough City
Hospital tried to reanimate Tyler for 20 minutes.
Tyler has been abused several times before.
Social services had been contacted before, but there had been decided that
there was no intervention needed.
Stephanie Whelan, Tyler’s mother, has been
charged for causing allowance to Tyler. Ms Whelan denies causing allowance to
her son’s death.
Elvis Lee, Ms Whelan’s partner, has been
charged with the murder of Tyler. Mr Lee admitted manslaughter, but denies
murdering the little boy.
I cannot believe that a mother is capable
of hitting his on child! How could someone be so heartless to allow her own partner
to kill her five year old son. Tyler hasn’t been giving the life that he
needed. He got broken legs, bruises and pain which causes him its death.
The fact that a year before Tyler’s death, social
services was consulted and who did nothing about it made me angry too. How
could they not have notice that this little boy was beaten brutally by his
mother and his mother’s partner. Social services should be careful with every
case, because like Tyler there are many other little boys and girls who are
beaten up every day!
